How bout them Beavers?!!!

Pretty cool... It isnt getting much coverage, but Bemidji St. University's Mens Hockey team, the Beavers,  have made it to the Frozen Four!  They beat Notre Dame and Cornell to advance to the finals in Washington DC,  the first 16th seed to make it!  They're total underdogs... I believe they take on Miami of Ohio next, not sure if its on TV, but it sure should be if its not... GO BEAVERS!!!

You might find it on espn but they have really su*ked    in coverage of the WCHA teams that made it in. I did get to watch some of UMD play over an internet feed. You might be able to find the beavers game as there is a feed for the miami-ohio team.

I thought I heard the frozen four's first two semis are going to be on ESPN II(Thursday?), with the championship on ESPN on the weekend.... not sure on the times... hope its not during the day... But I aint complaining, at least they'll be on the tube this year.... what is the deal with the near total lack of coverage of college hockey in the press both locally and nationally?    OK .... I guess I am complaining! but it is pretty sad when Ya dont even know when the games are on for the frozen four(or if they'll even be broadcasted...) then you look at the saturation with the coverage of college basketball, and how hyped that is.... even the NIT tourney gets more coverage than the frozen four!  What the  ?!?

I love it that the beavers made it... To bad they will not be in the WCHA !! they are the only team that wanted to come in ! and that would give us 11 and we need 12 ! we could get Alaska out !!! less travel more money !!!

4pm today.....    thank the lord for vcr/dvd recorders/T-vo!  GO BEAVERS!!!  Actually saw aa article in the trib this morning... Barry Melrose was giving kudos to the Beavers.....

yeah me too... its weird how they needed two teams to get in so they have an even # of teams... what other school in the region is even close to being at the wcha level?  River Falls?  I have no Idea who be next in line....
