who all belongs to a DU chapter in your area? i'm just curious seeing what other chapters do for the fundraisers. where do you have it how many people attend prizes can you buy tickets at the door  stuff like that o and have you ever won anything at the event

i'm part of the lake crystal chapter and we tend to be sold out (about 100 people) and hold it at the little american legion lots of good prizes given away very fun to meet the different people but its almost always the same people year in year out there the food is normally alright nothing to special but hey its food and it for a good cause right?

I am on the Forest Lake comittee. I just went to the Savage banquet Fri night and won the cash bag worth $340.00. Our sponsor banquet is April 18th and the big fall prime rib dinner banquet is Aug. 29. We have about 75 that attend the sponsor event and around 175 at the big fall banquet.

I'm a DU member and have been for many years. Both PF and DU contributed $ to help with some of the restoration costs on our wetland so I feel obligated. Think I'm probably a member in Waseca Co. but don't attend their functions. Just not enough time to attend the gatherings for all the groups I belong to. I'm one of those guys who usually takes DU up on their promotional items such as the little decoys (fits in with the decor in my office) and most recently their duffel bag promotion. A couple years ago I got their day bag and really liked it. Unfortunately my wife also decided she liked it so that usually means I'll no longer be able to find it when I want it. I recently went ahead and got one of their Weekender Duffel bags on their promotion for myself. Got it the other day and was happy with it. Was thinking I needed something as a gift for the two guest speakers I had on my annual customer meeting. Hmmm...both are outdoorsy types, one is my brother and the other is a long time friend and fellow waterfowl hunter. Let's see contribute $ for waterfowl and get them something useful as well. Don't tell them but they're both getting duffel bags too!
