The bungee cord stringer is the best fubar! Don't kid yourself, we have done that too on occasion when stringers are not available!  :happy1:

Small lake up around the Pine River area with a sand/rock boat launch. You can barely launch a mid-sized boat in early/late-may, and nearly impossible with the weed growth through the summer.

gotta love those small lakes. i have a few around the battle lake area and they always produce some nice fish. last year first cast in there and i hooked into a 36incher tryed to enter him in the mno fishing challenge but it was already pretty dark.

That particular day we were casting spinnerbaits, and absolutely slamming fish every cast. At one point, we were so sick of catching hammerhandles, we just let the wind take us to the middle of the small lake, and that is where we picked up the bigger northern ('bout eight FOW, max of the lake). The crappies we caught were hitting the full-size spinnerbaits, and I think if we were after 'em, we would have limited out in no time. Like I said though, this gosh-darn lake is only accesible with a medium size boat early season, which sucks 'cause we get up there once early (to put docks in), and around the 4th of July.

my luck for my lake is a perch colored daredevil not the huge ones, but i have the same experence(sp) getting a strike on every cast, this lake i have no clue on how deep it is but from what i hear 8 or 9 feet is the max. asked some locals about it they told me not to waste my time with the lake cause it winterkills every year and theres no fish in it. so its my "secret lake" :whistling: im going to take my canoe up there memorial weekend and explore the lake a little more than the shore line. also has some huge crappies and bluegills in it.

Caught yesterday on south metro lake with spinnerbait while pitching for bass. I didn't want to mess around with a girth measurement or weight, but my brother took a quick length and it was 37" +- an inch, and we released it immediately.

Needless to say I changed my underwear afterwords.

Very Cool 22lex. Are you a muskie fisherman or was this your first?

I'm not a muskie fisherman, it was my third official muskie on accident, but biggest for sure. In the future I will use a leader and something bigger than 10 lb test next time if I'm fishing a lake that has these in the area!  :happy1:

My knowledge on these fish is limited, but I would assume this is a Tiger?

Yeah she was chunky. I am glad it wasn't one of the super skinny pike with a huge head. It put up an awesome fight on my walleye rod. (wasn't fishing for pike)

Got this fishing for smalleys last weekend with a little crayfish crank on Rainy. Of course I forgot the net at the dock. Luckily my brother in law was nearby and motored over to me (in slow motion) - but in time to net it.

A nice 10lb early spring pike caught from the shore of the Mississippi River.  They bite in this particular spot for about a week, We would catch a few nice pike each day, most are around 30 inches.
