Airsoft

Do we have any airsoft experts in the house? I've got a 13 year old that has been hounding me about getting an airsoft gun. He has a big B-day party coming up next month and they are going to be having an airsoft war.
I don't know a thing about these guns. It seems to me this would be a big return item for most retailers. What should I keep in mind when buying one? Are there any to stay away from?
Any info would be great? Also all the kids will be required to be wearing protective gear.

my kids have had all kinds of them. I hate em.
every where I go,m them fricken pellets every where!
walk around in socks...YOUCH!!
clean up them d@$*ed pellets!

just another thing to wast $$$ on in my opinion.
heck, get em bb guns and let them go at it!

   I was thinking the same thing!  Not that I want to see anyone hurt-but that's what we did as rebellious kids!
