Got out early this morning with a buddy, we were on the water before 5 AM. Windy as hell out there and a little cold, but the fishign was pretty decent. Launched out of Prescott, the first area we tried gave up a nice sauger in the first 10 minutes. I followed that up with a quick and fat white bass. My buddy started the day with a huge sheephead.  :doah: Fished around that area for a while and tried throwing raps and jigs but didn't muster much else to write home about.

Moved up near the Prescott Bridge and it was on!! We were consistantly getting bites and pulling in fish. Lots of small sauger but there we nice ones mixed in. Lots of rock bass and a few more white bass to add. My buddy pulled in a small pike and about a 5 lb channel cat!! He had one of his best days since I fished with he. He was getting the right species this time and managed 3 nice sauger in the box. We ended the day with seven keepers in the boat and numerous saugers returned to swim again. Great day on the way outside of the wind blowing us all over the place.

Current isn't bad, just had to deal with the wind pushing us around. When the wind isn't blowing at 20 mph it's not hard to navigate at all.  :cold:
