He invited us all up to help drag his deer out of the woods? Then we get to cut and wrap it. ;)

Warning Jig!

Getting a bunch of guys like us to help cut and wrap a deer, is much like taking a bunch of kids to pick strawberries.

We will eat much more than we put in the freezer...LOL

we need to get ahold of Scott Pugh too. my guess is, he'll be in the neighborhood I am sure.

My guess that we were planning on coming up (to fish) but I don't think it is going to happen.  Going to try to get the wife to let me go up for a day and a half for grouse opener.

Someone shoot me a PM with their cell phone, incase we make it up Staurday AM.

It sounds like it will be real hit or miss. Hopefully we're in the miss area. ;) The forecast I saw said 40% chance for Grand Rapids on Saturday. It may rain some, but I doubt it will be a complete wash out.fingers crossed

electricity is there. electric appliances are no problem.
this is a rain or shine deal.
the baddest of storms might keep us indoors ( the putz villa), but for most of us we have the 10 x 20 can-o-pee and the 10 x 10 with another 8x8 if we need it.
the bummer is, there is a strict burning ban on right now, with conditions dry and windy. near explosive.
I had to inform putz tonight, and he didn't like that much.

we set up the poles for the teepee. tomorrow night I will bring the pop up over there and finnish setting up the teepee.

J.J. will be in the back forty working on our meat. he is going bow hunting for the first time.

lets have a ball!!

I would like to thank all who made it up to putz's this weekend.
for those who did not, we had a great time!
we shot for cans of soup. campbells, assorted varieties ;D
we shot up nearly 2500 rounds of shells, and we would have probably hit the 3000 mark had the fuzz not showed up and busted our little party   :police: :police:
pretty cool, it took two of them to bring ol Putzy to the ground. they only let him up when he muttered the dreaded "uncle". cruel bastards.
ol putz has a neighbor, I think his name is Richard Cranium??
He doesn't like us having fun. ???
the funny thing is, all he would have to do is come over and tell us his kids cant get their naps or something lame like that. we would willingly oblige him, but nooooo.... he has to go call the fuzz on us. he has turned my brother in for anything he can think of. we have had the lovely :-* lady from the zoning office there, the blandin foresters there, the conversation officers there, all with nothing but his loose complaints to stand on. we are allways in compliance, and though we did not legally have to quit shooting yesterday evening, because the officers asked us if we would, we did.

HA!! wait till next year buddy!! ;)
thanks Vickie and Chuck for the vittles. the roast goose barbeque sandwiches were outstanding.
putz's stew was hot in the pot all day long.
those who went hungry, it was their own darned fault.

I have to say there was some pretty good shooting going on and alot of that was them youngin's.
pretty darned good if I do say so myself.

those who took photos lets see them.

thanks again to all  :)

As for those young kids the rest of us old timers are sure going to have to practice, practice, practice. I didn't win a can of soup but there is always next year ;)?

Glad to here it was a fun time for anyone that could make it-things sure do change when developement moves in all around you, my guess is Putz never said Uncle but a couple other things- Buckhead your setting records unreal!!- were there any venision chops roasting at the campfire, donated by JJ, maybe he was to busy ducking pellets to pay attention to the woods
