stew feed and soup shoot

Ol PUTZ is going to have the stew feed at the villa on the 16th of September along with trap shoot and bulls*** slinging.
So if anyone has questions just ask scroungie and he will tell you or jigs or me.

how does this weekend work for everybody?
this is the weekend we had it last year. it is this years small game opener.
people usually want to get out, but the leaves are still up and the birds are pretty hard to see.
this seemed to be a good fit.
if you didnt make it to last years get together, we had a ball. we shot clay pigeons until our arms near fell off. you can bring your four wheelers and ride on trails on private land without the worry of getting a citation.
putz's stew is the best and the beer ain't bad either. horse shoes are allways on the menu, and ifn' you want to chase after those wary partridge, there would be plenty of opportunity for that as well.
we may even have an arial piro-technical display after dark :o 8)
plenty of bunk space leaves few excuses.

it may well be opening upland, and i think it's youth waterfowl day also, take a kid fowl hunting, got to take the nephews out to bag some fowl, they have a "blast" doing this.

chuck, it is at my dad's "other place up north".
about 8 miles north on hwy 38 to the pratt road.take a right. second driveway on the right. if you all have time, it would be a good time to meet some of the folks here and a few of the I.B.O.T.'s as well.
we drink beer, pop cooks a big pot of stew which hangs on the fire all day. we shoot clays till our arms are about ready to fall off. some go four wheelin. and we drink beer.
it was a good time last year so he is really looking forward to this years get to gether.

yes, bring the boys...er young men. bring a wheeler or two or four, we will have a pot of stew bubbling all day, but anything else for your typical pot luck type of gathering.
If you all want to crash there for the night, you can use my fish house. it is right there and has four bunks. don't worry about me, I'll hunt a hole somewhere, maybe passed out in the outhouse?
bring a couple of weapons and amo, and a couple boxes of clays. that should take care of it.

are you guys going to the ducks unlimited banquet tonight? I am heading there with a buddy from rapids. my first time ever because I have always been working. today I had a short day and finaly the planets aligned so I can go!

What day are we talking about? the 9th or the 16th? either way we will be there. What time should we show. If it is the 9th I have to work at GR Clips till 1:00 Or earlier if I can skip out.

this will be the weekend of the 16th. we will be there all weekend long. the main event will be on saturday. you are welcome to come for the day or the weekend.
we will be doing the campfire all night weather permiting.

Well, it looks like I took another step towards attending the stew feed. I just picked up 3 boxes of clay pigeons and 300 rounds of 20 ga. target loads. Is anyone going to have a launcher there?.....Dr Bob???

Ol Putz is comming up on Thursday bout noonish will have sign out on the road it will say    PUTZ STEW AND THE ARROW JUST MIGHT BE POINTING THE RIGHT WAY.
   Bout 7.9 miles north on hwy 38 from Grand Rapids , East on PRATT rd. 2nd driveway on the right putz villa sign.
  If need we can sleep 2 in the putz deer stand .

 The thing has broke clays since it was new. tried everything...just a pile of JUNK!

 We got six whole honkers cooking in a 20 gallon kettle right now. We are going to cook all the meat off the bones and make spicy BBQ's out of them with onion buns topped with a little spicy cheese sauce and COLD BEER ok maybe a cocktail for me LOL

 We got 12 boxes of shells and two cases of clays

the pop up is taken, 64 is spoken for, the camper, I'm not sure, but I will set up the teepee if I have time after work tomorrow or friday.
that should sleep a few and attract a crowd. the tee pee is allways a good conversation piece.

this is starting to sound like a heck of a good time.

I talked to our official keg gaurd uncle nutsy today as well, who is also contemplating making the trip.
