I've been on the fence about this trade deal. His numbers say he's a great quarterback, but they never could get enough games in the win column, and when they did, they'd fail miserably in the big games. I don't think it was all his doing, but he just couldn't be the leader this team needed. Add to these facts DC started to develop a "Moss" type attitude, it was propably time for him to go.?

How many quarterbacks did the "Sheriff" trade away, to keep DC, that went on to win Superbowls?

Daunte is talented, I will give him that, but he is a far cry from a leader and he isn't all that smart.

i say go. now comes the hard part. we need a quality quarterback. i'm not talking a burnt out veteran who's afraid to move out of the pocket either.
we have a good veteran who has another couple of years left to help bring up a willing individual.
we need someone who will be willing to learn the system....whatever that may end up being :-\

thinking positive and moving forward needs to be our focus. who's coming up in the ranks that may be both quality and available?
anybody care to guess this one?
take a kid hunting and fishing!!

Even if we get a crappy QB, I will still sit on the couch every Sunday, drinking beer, and eating nacho's.

They should make a trade with Atlanta and get Matt Schaub.  He looked better than Vick last year when he was out, but he will never get to play when they are paying Vick so much money.

I saw something on the news this morning that said DC wanted to leave because the vikes wouldn't guarantee him the starting position. With his performance last year, combined with his banged up knee, how can he expect that kind of guarantee? Oh well, It's a done deal now.
