muzzy mx4's is what i used last year and was very happy with the entry and exit holes on the deer. been looking at the g5's though those look like some nice broadheads. gotta love the cut on contact

BOW OPENER IS ONLY 27 DAYS AWAY.. hope everyones ready i sure am. went out for a walk to check on all my stands. found a heavily used trail that goes right past my climber stand tree. so i threw my trail camera out there. my wildview couldnt find my other ones for some reason. not going to check it until labor day weekend. pic of the trail.

Cody, you better go back to deer school, that's not a deer trail, that's a 4 wheeler trail.:rotflmao:

checked the no till food plot and is coming up great and in only 9 days to thats awesome whats even better is the deer are hitting it also. cant even wait for bow season to come, checked the trail camera and had 100 pictures in a 9 day time frame, problem was there was alot of deer butt shots and due to low quality of the flash didnt get that great of pictures, but i would say about 95% of the deer on the camera are bucks these 3 mainly. funky 6 tall 8 and slim tines(all my nicknames)

11 more days until bow opener. i am getting the bow out every chance i get. i pulled the trail camera out of my main area i will be hunting on opener and put it down in the swamp by my hang on stand. cranking the bow poundage back up to 75lbs and practicing alot with it. boy does the arrow fly fast, i have a hard time tracing my arrow inside 20 yards. does anyone have any experience with the luminoks? do they work well?

I have heard alot of negative about luminocks. Only a few say they work others say they have trouble turning on . Just what I have heard. Alot of people use them in states where they can hunt till dark or little after.

i have used luminoks before and they are cool to use but give you no advantage. the problem is that they often will shut off if they get hit on something. most  of the time they work perfect but as far as staying on if stuck in a deer they will probly turn off by getting hit on trees. but ill tell you they are still very fun to use and they could help you know where you hit the deer if its not a pass through.
my wife said it.... im OFFICIALLY ADDICTED to MNO!!

I just found out over the weekend that I once again got access to a spot of land that is getting harder and harder to get access to.  This year, it's only a very small portion of that land but at least Im in so that's good.  I also have 2 friends who said I could scout and possibly hunt their land.  So far, I don't even know where their land is other than one is south of me and the other is north; doesn't narrow it down too much does it?  That's ok.  Free access is graciously accepted.  Just give me directions, boundaries, and tell me how you like your steaks cut.    I won't get out till closer to the end of Oct for any spot so I'm not too worked up but it's on the top of my mind now.

Good luck to anyone going out this weekend.     :happy1:

i would say thats a 5 year old deer and a very nice one at that. hope you can get him during the day. those darker horns usually mean they dont see to much sunlight. again a very nice deer and good luck :happy1: :happy1: :happy1:

I got the bow out on Sunday and lobbed a few.  Still looks pretty good.  I have a family thing on Saturday so I won't get out till sometime on Sunday.  Oh, that reminds me I still have to buy a license.
