I'm thinking the iron man will be the next shoot i do.  was thinking of the wildmarsh but I have a chance to earn some side cash that weekend and I'm thinking I like the extra cash. I did the iron man last year.. started out ruffff but once I settled into it I did ok. gotta love the door prizes at that shoot.

Yeah.... theres a BBQ contest... live music.... oh yeah, a clays shoot too!  Thinking of bringing the ultra-shack up there to crash in... may not wanna drive home after hanging there all day... ;)  Beeker, didnt hit the Ironman last year, but I think the year before I went home with a giant meat tray and a huge smoked turkey.... saved them for the eelpout festival, went over reeaal well! :chef:  I usually start out smokin at that tourney, then crash into flames when the fatigue and heat stroke sets in. :banghead: :rotflmao:

I grabbed 2 hams last year and a mystery meat pack... which turned out to be some brats and hot dogs. which were good. 400 rounds really beats the snot out of ya. I shot all 1once loads last year, which didn't make a difference after 400 rounds.

I shot the Aniversary shoot, did ok, should have done better...(but then I almost always say that... ;)) Won a free pass for a round, shot some games and the new skeet field...(nice :happy1:)  Had a grouse following us around, for 3 or 4 stations while shooting... when I crouched down and made a "purring" noise, I got him to come within 2 or 3 feet of me... pretty cool!  Hard to concentrate on shooting with a grouse looking over your shoulder though! :rotflmao:

Hey Beeker, are you signed up yet for the Ironman?  I need to squad with someone... they are only letting you squad with one other person this year(to keep things honest I guess) and the four guys that I know that are going are paired up already... Otherwise Ill just throw my name in the hat I guess....

I'm thinking I'm the odd man out as well. I'm waiting to hear from a buddy of mine who's been gone in cananda fishing, I don't think the wifey is going to let him go. other wise I'll squad with ya. I'm thinking I'm going to be "that guy" that brings his fourwheeler too, so you can toss your stuff on there. but let me check with my buddy this weekend and let you know on monday.. OK? why the switch to 2? I thought it was 4 last year????

From what I heard, some guys were complaining about some "chippers".... you know, those guys who see chips (that no one else sees) comming off the clays that they really missed... supposedly had issues with group chippers, where a whole squad of buddies were padding their scores... with nobody to keep em honest... :doah:  I dont know about you, but Ive bumped into a few people like that over the years.... too bad, keeps ya from having as much fun when ya cant shoot with the guys you usually shoot with. :banghead:  I'll be bringing my wheeler too, Its a long day without one at the Ironman, plus Ive been limping around on a tweeked ankle and knee  ;).... Sounds good... let me know on Monday...

I always thought chips were kinda bogus anyways, why dont they just put out some judges like at the state shoot??? that doesn't take much effort?  my brothers won't ever give me a chip when I shoot with em..  I've run into those guys and the guys that like to take extra looks or give themselves multiple misfires, I was with a master shooter last year that  kept calling a target "unshootable" this was the same target that everyone else just shot at.. some people are going to be douches no matter what you do

Yeah, I know what yer saying, my buddies I shoot with cut each other no slack at all... they are tough on each other and roll their eyes when people say they saw those chips... :rotflmao:  I have a really good eye for seeing chips and dust comming off targets, and will be the first guy to say chip (to my buddies amusement :whistling:) but, its gotta be a definatly visible chunk comming off a target to get a X ont the sheet.  Its either a hit or a miss eh?

I don't ask for em, but if you see them, I'll take em untill they change the rules. I need to get on the reloader again tonight and get some 1once loads ready to go.

Yep, still in C, with no punches to speak of... yeah the Ironman is a good place to try to get one... usually lots of shooters :happy1:..... I always ask people if they see them first, unless its so obvious that ya dont need to ask, then Ill just give em the X...

hopefully we won't need any sympathy this weekend. still working on a good way to carry the gun on the wheeler, don't usually use it, except on the long courses

We dont need no stinking sympathy! :rotflmao: :whistling:  We'll rule C class! ;)  I have one of those Rugged Gear vertical gun racks on my atv, so I got room for ya if you want... they are really nice for clay shooting... those scabbards are nice too.....

well I'll let you carry my gun for me, but usually I make a guy buy me a drink first.  :rotflmao:. looks like the weather will be decent as well.. hopefully no hurricane force winds will be blowin.
I have a 5 gallon bucket holder on the back of my wheeler I thought there could be a way to use some PVC to carry a gun in there.

:rotflmao: Nah... but you can buy me a cold one when we're done for the day... come to think of it... I'll have a couple in the big cooler Ill be bringing... just in case I go home with some meat prizes... Its funny how they even say on the flyer to bring one, I made the mistake a few times of not having one and wondering how ya get a smoked turkey, a huge meat tray, some pheasnts or a few pizzas home without them melting, or partially cooking in the sun on the way home. ;)  Yeah the weather looks perfect, I aint trusting those weather terrorists predictions yet though... :whistling:

I was suprised last year at the volume of stuff they gave out. and last year miller had a keg tapped in the club house waiting for us at the end.. so if they do that again drinks, are on me.

Thunderpout,  it was good shooting with you. sunday was a bunch of the same targets as the day before. I ended up recovering and winning C class for hoa. of course no other C shooters were there on sunday, but I can say I had the high score for C class on sunday. :rotflmao:

everyone got a meat pack it was all pre packed, I ended up with a big ham, couple pizzas, a pheasant, jerky, brats, and bacon... one of my brothers got a big thing of ribs , and go figure he wouldn't trade em for the pheasant.
