The daytime walleye bite on the big pond continues to be real good with water temps reaching 68o this week.   Look to the gravel areas of the lake to locate active keeper walleyes in 25 to 29 feet of water using live bait rigs.  The mid lake mud flats are starting to turn on with good numbers showing up on the electronics as the water continue to warm up.

The mud can be hit or miss so cover some ground and check a number of flats to locate active fish.   The walleyes will come out of deep water at the same elevation as the mud flat and feed on top edges of the flat just about any time during the day.  You will be on fish before you know it and than they're gone!!!   It’s a fun game to play.

           Good luck!
