The Twins beat the TB Devil Rays tonight behind a fabulous pitched game by Santana.? He pitched 8 innings gave up two hits, no runs and had 12 strike outs.? The White Sox lost 1-0 to Boston tonight.? The Twins are now 1 1/2 games a head of Chicago in the wild card race.?

Starting Thursday, the Twins will host the Central Division leading Tiger for a four game series at the dome.? The Twins are only 4 1/2 games back of Detroit for the Central Division lead.? What do you think will happen during the last month of the season?? It looks like Liriano will be back soon.? That should only help the Twins chances.

Detroit just lost to Seattle tonight 4-3.  Now the Twins are only 4 games back!

our chances can only get better. that four game stint with the tigers will tell us alot. winning 3 out of 4 would be a very good thing

They really need Liriano back, but I can't count them out anymore.  I don't know how they keep winning with the pitching staff we have right now, but they do.

If we can start hitting more consistantly we could really support that pitching rotation.  Thats the only way we could compete in playoffs.  Them Yanks score lots of runs....  One good hurler isn't going to carry us through a series with them.
