Any body have any idea what the water temp of some lakes around Ely are? I also would like any info in if alot of the crappies and eyes have started to suspend for a decent trolling bite? thanks

Water temps on Burntside Lake by Ely are about 65-66 surface, 61 degrees in about 31 FOW. Most lakes are very close to this at the present time.
No good crappie reports yet, but some of the crappies and bluegills being caught have spawn in them because of the cold summer.

Moose, Newfound, Sucker and Basswood surface temps are 62.5 in the am and 65/66 by noon if the sun is shinning. That's as of last Thursday. The thermocline on Basswood has set up at 26 fow.

The thermocline on Burntside was at 26-28 FOW about ten days ago, but
has now gone down to the mid 30 foot depth.
