I sure hope things NEVER! EVER!! change around here

This place is so pleasant to visit, unlike most sites on the Net

It seems every site gets this "IN" gang thing. Either your part of that group or you aren't chit and they will let you know it.

disagree with one person and take the rath of every person from the pack.

I will always welcome EVERYBODY! and hope a person can express his own views without being hog piled on

Keep things the way they are and this site will rule the net!

Ya, I feel the same way.  I will be here as long as it remains fun and comfortable.  IF that changes, I'm gone.

There is no presure here. We like and want to keep it a laid back atmosphere. It was built on a good foundation and it will hopefully continue to grow that way.

I agree with Tim. we started this website as a result of poor experiences at other sites.
using our displeasure as our guide as how not to be, we agreed that we would make decisions that effect the site by a five man decision making process. there are five of us in place that we run the major issues that effect day to day opperations here at MNO. we feel by not having one dictator making the take it or leave it attitude type decisions we will come out with a better product. we have tested the method and found it to be quite effective.
we are glad you like what you see here.
it is an indication of the way the rest of the internet website browsers are percieving us as well. we feel the majority of the users have been around the internet a bit by now and have experienced the dictator methods exhibited by some sites and will find, as you do, chuck this to be quite refreshing.
AS FOR ME, those of you who have followed me in the past and who know me, know I will most likely never change from the way I act-react to posters on the web. I can be informative, entertaining, and at times down right cantankerous.
post something stupid and out of line and you will most likely hear from me or anybody else, though if I see it first, let me at it!
you will not be banned for stating your opinion. you will not have your post altered for saying the name of a product not sponsored here on this website. you can even call me a butthead if you like. your probably right ;)
just come here, and check us out. if you like what you see, tell others. word of mouth is our best means of advertising.
thanks for hanging out here!!

Here we go getting away from the topic a bit but I laughed when I read the part about the 5 person decision making process. The only reason I laughed is because it is true. We have all had ideas that we wanted to use and the rest of the bunch has shut it down. Right now I am trying to change the site lay-out but I can't get them to bite. I get downright frustrated and it makes me laugh. At one time Jigglestick had 2 or 3 ideas shot down in a row. He was convinced that we were all out to get him, etc.... Well we got over it and understood that what our vision was and rolled on. I'll have to say...it has been a fun ride and once again thanks to all the staff and most importantly........members, Thank you!

 ;)

What I like about this site is that others aren't trying to shoot you down just for the sake of shooting you down.  Another thing I like is the variety of topics and the activity on the site.  When I go back to visit some of the other sites I used to frequent there is hardly any posting going on.  Keep up the good work everyone.  I hope to meet some of you this year - maybe on Red.  I did talk to jiggle stick one time on channel 12 on Red and saw his truck on the Hillman Road last March.
I fish not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant - and not nearly as much fun.? Robert Traver "Anatomy of a Fisherman"

keep in mind, the old jiggle truck has been sold... there is an imposter out there.  So if you see this old green pickup with jigglestick across the back window, call 911. :police:

make no mistake, I have been impostered before. the crimnal is no other than Griz!
he refuses to remove the stickers from the back window. say's he bought the ownership when he purchased the truck last winter. >:(
little twerp. he spent most of last season in west winds in a santa clause suit with a "hello my name is Jigglestick" name tag on it, getting free drinks and christmas smooch'es from the barstaff.

"Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum."

From your own agreement form... ??? Why would you go to other websites and do something that you don't allow yourself? Or maybe you just don't enforce this??

I have  to tell you Buffle Head, in my four plus years of being a member of the site that your post was deleted on...that's the first time I've seen someone come back and post complaining that their "advertisment" was deleted....and slam the management.

I would expect if I call you and idiot here...your 300 members would stand up for you...maybe not??  ::)

But then again...trolling is a good way to get members from one site to check out a new site...hey you got me to bite!

Mayfly has been on our site for quit a while...haven't seen a "hog pile" or the "wolf pack" attack him.

So...I'm left confussed...either you were trolling for members...or you are an idiot. ::)

Let me know if you want to go fishing sometime...I would like to figure it out.

Edited by Briank as I typed the wrong handle...(sorry jig!  :o)

briank, you left out one other possible option. maybe he was trolling AND he's an idiot.
either way I'm glad he did it. others do it all the time. it's the internet. it's how it works. now with everybody and their brother having their own website, it is only a matter of time before people stumble upon the other websites. our members cruise freely to each and any website their little heart desires.
I was banned from another website simply for being part of this one??!!

I welcome you to the site. if you stick around a little while, you might enjoy what you see.
feel free to participate as every one is welcome here.
if you just came here to exspose someone, or otherwise start crap, do it via p.m.'s or in person. much more effective that way and we don't have to put you in timeout ;)

where is this from?  We don't have any policies here on what you can and can't post...  as long as it's in good taste. and even that is questionable.

First off...I apologize as when I posted this I thought he was you...an admin.

Secondly...you are right...I never thought of the third possibility. ;D

Thanks for the welcome...and as time permits, I will stop back...the only way I'll get booted from the site that I'm affiliated with...is if I start sxxx on another website. ...and rightfully so.

Kudo's for starting another layed back site.

Hmm, didn't beat me up enough over there, so you come here to finish the job

This was my post, after they deleted my first post

--------------------------

"for god sakes, I posted last night about a new site in Minnesota with hunting, fishing, trapping, atving and snowmobiling and the web master deleted it by this morning.

Hey, I surf all over the net.

I like visiting and got friends on every site.

I think it was pretty poor taste to delete my thread

May just show how controlling the managment is here...too bad!

---------------------------

If you like to read the thread..which is locked down

PM me and I'll shoot ya the site name and thread name

If he doesn't delete the thread

Some people just have to get the last word in.

I would like to really get into with him but this neither the time or the place for such things

if you are not useing internet explorer... you'll have problems. ?I use firefox almost all the time, but not when I am on this website. ?For some reason, it won't keep you logged in. ?I suspect that is the issue.

'Morning Buffle Head.  That wasn't a very warm welcome. :-(

I was the one that locked it down, because I was feeling bad about you getting beat up. I thought I was doing you a favor...and it won't be deleted...as it could have been.

Bufflehead,

Thanks for sharing your passion and excitement for this great site! ?People can either embrace it, or fight it. ?I guess the people on that site are in the fighting mood. ?They are happy where they are at and not interested in looking at other sites. ?I think Brian K has tried to deal with the negative posts on that other site in a positive way. ?

So, I respect that you put yourself out there for Minnesota Outdoorsman. ?Too bad you took a few bullets for us. ?We can't get people here who are not open to looking. ?All we can do is keep telling others about this great site. ?The ones who are looking for a change (or something new) will come.

Have a great day!

nicely put O.J. I couldn't have said it better myself ;)

by the way, for the record, we accept all new members here. take O.J. for example, sure he got a bad rap in that slow speed chase in the white bronco a few years back, but if you followed the story, THE GLOVE DIDN'T FIT!!
glad to have you around here O.J. ;)

I'll never forget the scene where you come walking in the bar with that GIANT afro..remember that one nordberg ;D

Hey Chuck,

I know Xplorer pretty well. ?I met him at the first Burntside Bash and we have been buds ever since. ?He is a great guy (no matter what Harold says about him :)). I only attended one more BS Bash after that though because I did not think my body could over-ride my minds overwhelming desire to choke the living sh*t out of an ugly, skinny, contolling little pr*ck named Rick. ?

I look at these forums as a place to go and hangout, bs with friends and relax a little. ?To me its a lot like going to a bar. ?If I am in a bar that does not allow me to speak in a civil manner about what I choose with friends of mine, then I will leave and find one that will. ?That's just the way it is.

So true Junkie!

BH, I have to run for a meeting...I was refering to changing my browser to MS Explorer...sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the welcome...and HEY! Come on back (although you might want to request a new user name in your profile). The guys at our site will welcome you with open arms as I mentioned before.

As OJ said, you have a passion for this site...and that's great. I have the same passion for our site...but I have to follow the rules there...as I do here.

PS...do you have a cat forum??

I do post and check other sites as you do...I actually think we are closer to being on the same page...than it may appear.

Not sure were you live...but you do have an invite to go sturgeon fishing with me if you like on the Croix ...there are some big ones snapping!

Gotta run...Later! 8)
