ICE CONDITIONS FOR ELY AREA ARE LOOKING GOOD!!!!
Ice reports in the Ely area indicate that these will be the best conditions we have had in the last five years. :happy1:
The norm for the last 5 years was 2-4 inches of ice in early December, followed by about 15-20 inches of wet, heavy, snow. :cry:
This made most lakes impassable until mid January because of the slush.
We currently have anywhere from 8-12 inches of ice on most smaller lakes, with larger lakes like Burntside and Snowbank having about 6-10 inches.
With the weather forecast looking good, we should have great ice conditions for the entire  season. :dancinred:
