I have a friend who has an older Jiffy ice auger Model 30 (it is the white one with the 3hp) and wants to sell it but doesn't know what to ask for it; so if anyone has a rough estimate of what it would be I would appreciate it.

I'd say $100 - $150 rough estimate.  Those things are built like a tank and last forever.

If its running well, $100 would be a steal.... I have a 20yr old model 30, and wouldnt take $200 cause it still works so well.  Yeah, Gen , they are built like tanks aint they... the new ones Im not so sure about... lots of plastic parts now! :doah: :banghead:

Well here is an add on CL for $150 and it looks http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/spo/1507154350.html old and used.  There is also a few that look brand new in the $200 range.  I also see a legend Model 31 for $200 which IMO is better then the 30.
