This buck is not from Maine.  It was taken on a game farm near Rosholt, WI. Here is the link:

The same buck is pictured on the home page in the lower right corner.

I'd like to see them transplant a few of them in my neck of the woods to get the genetics going!

Those are some strange looking deer. They all look like steroid users.

This is from their web site.  I wonder how they can claim B&C scoring when is a fenced hunt?

Gold Hunt: $10,000 + Trophy Fee
Mature bucks 170" +
Trophy fees for bucks scoring over 180 B&C:

180 Gross B&C: $2,000
190 Gross B&C: $5,000
200 Gross B&C: Determined on individual deer basis

Yeah, They must just use their scoring sheet, but not actually register them... I wonder if that is some sort of copyright infringement.  Those deer just dont look natural, personally, I wouldnt really find much jo in hunting them.  There is no thrill to the hunt.
Seems to me that they are making alot of money in that business, up to $10,000 per hunt!

If people are willing to pay, I would have no problem collecting their money.  But you hit it right on the head, where's the thrill in the hunt?  What about family traditions at deer camp?  The stories?  The bad jokes?  The old guys who snore?  The what the hell did I just eat?
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.

I have seen a trail cam of a buck that would probably be 300+lbs, its on my buddies land down here by Winona.  It would be interesting if he ended up getting it this year to see what it really weighs!
Those large deer definitely look un-natural, so steroids, or farm raised is probably the answer, or some really good crops!
