Bemidji area report...

It's been a good season in the Northcountry!

The walleyes on Lake Bemidji have been steady, with the twilight bites producing 3-12 fish per outing. Sizes range from 8" to 28". Should be a great summer out there! Fishing humps, or the transition areas tailing off the humps in 30-40' of water are producing the best numbers, while the shallow 12-20' depths have been producing some of the bigger fish.

The perch bite remains very strong on a few area lakes, including Plantan and Bemidji. Travel on the lake is getting difficult after the rain/snow mix we had last week, but it should improve now that we're back in the deep-freeze!

Panfish reports are hit-or-miss. One day a guy can go out and slay a bucket full of nice pannies, and the next day you might only run into a few. Sizes have been good though, so catching a few crappies per outing is still producing some nice pictures and a great meal!

Our fish house rentals are booked for the season. We're already taking bookings for 2011! Come on up and enjoy the fishing Bemidji has to offer!
