Saturday 9/23

Fished with Dino and his soldiers Rocky & Mike. We did the usual trolling passes for a while while the fog set in. One short strike was all we could come up with.

Next we fished down on the West end past the academy and started hooking up with the smallies in short order. Mike needed a lot of coaching since he was not to experienced with fishing techniques. After a lot of one on one with Mike he began to pull his own weight and started with the trash talkin after each fish.

A good time was had by all and days like this make up for days that are slower.

We fished in 25 to 27 ft mostly with crawlers and a few fish taken on leeches. Total count for the day was 28 smallmouth including a behemoth fat 21 incher caught by Dino and released at the dock after a Kodak moment. We also got 1 largemouth & 1 northern.

Be back out Sunday so till then: *Govern a family as you would cook a small fish - very gently.
