gander just told me they charge 75$ to ship to their FFL... anyone have a less "violating" option? I'm going to call a few local shops to see what they have.. this is a new gun coming from the manufacturer.

Firing Line Sports in Ham Lake.  Ten bucks for incoming firearms.  That includes transfer fee.

Why charge such a high price?  That seems foolish to me especially since you can shop around for best pricing and not have to drive all over to find a dealer.

Yeah, $75 seems outrageus, but I would think from their perspective, if they charge that much, then you might be more apt to buy the gun from them and not from third party.
$10 is the best I have heard.  Down here I think the gun shop charges $25-35.... I cant remember which one.
I would bet Cabela's would have a higher price like Gander too.

Even though it's coming directly from the factory?  Still seems a bit much to me.  The last time I bought a gun, in fact two within 2 months of each other, I had no issues or extra fees and such.

i thought 75 was just silly and wouldn't pay it.. heck I would get my FFL before I would pay that

BBe sure to check the shipping laws to or from the state your getting the gun from or sending to.

I believe a hand gun has to go from FFL to FFL and has to next day air. But there are exceptions as well so check the laws.

Next day air on a hand gun is expensive.

check out Al Novak, located in White Bear Lake.  Flat $20 for FFL transfer, he receives directly  in his store, gives it directly to you unopened.  Also, best prices on guns.

Beeker... call Simons Sports in Moundsview(on Hwy 10)  Was gonna order a turkish 28g SxS and have it shipped there,(ended up getting a 20g a guy ordered from Joes, but he didnt like/want it,so i  got a really good deal :happy1:) thought he said it would be $10 or $25.... something like that, it was a couple years ago, sometimes the little shops do it cheap to get you in their store.... the big chain stores dont care, they figure you'll spend $$$$ there anyways so they get away with kicking ya in the you know whats..... :doah:

Monticello Pawn on highway 25 off 94 does FFL transfers for $20 + shipping. Like others he doesn't open the box until you get there. (only to verify SN for 4473)

the only problem with shipping to those big guys is you got all those places for it to be misplaced or fingered up by employees. or to be "processed".. i'll stick with the smaller guy on these deals.
