So my girlfriend used to like to fish but she says she hates it now because I'm so obsessed with it. I tell her I'm not even bad because I only go once or twice, maybe three times a week and some of my buddies are almost every dayers during the season. How can I bring her back into the realm of fishing lovers?

Thats tough, I FEEL YA BUDDY!  My girl is the same way, she just doesnt like when I go fishing, especially without her.  I think the best way is to bring her along, even if its just bobbering for panfish.  Or take a little break from it.  If a buddy asks you to go fishing, decline and go on a date with her  ;) , You may even need to stage it.  Just show her that fishing isnt as important to you as she thinks it is!  (Even though it is pretty important).

Thats all I got, I just bring the girl out a few times with me and she is happy (only if we catch something though, otherwise she hates it).  GOOD LUCK!!   :fishing:

:sorry:  to hear about your perdicament!

Haha... great post! The realm of fishing lovers eh. I had a similar problem at one point of my life. Her complaint wasn't that fishing was a problem but I started to get too serious and it took some of the fun out of it when we went. My suggestion to you is get her out and mix it up a bit. Try something new, make it an adventure for both of you. Rather than focus on one species switch it up and try for multiple species in a day. On top of that bring some snack and lunch or dock up somewhere and grab a bite depending on what lake it is. Just make it fun... you know her best so know what she likes. Good Luck!

Thats why they call me Dr. LOVE!  or maybe they dont....!

I like Tim's idea, make a day out of it, and add in a picnic (women tend to like picnics- or atleast the ones I know do) or shorelunch!

If she doesn't like to go fishing don't force it.  Go fishing with the boys and have her do something with the girls while you are out.

I guess if she doesn't like to actually go fishing with you, she could always still clean your fish.

Well only one thing comes to mind, it's a country song, ever heard it? Brad Paisley has your answer if you listen. http://www.cmt.com/videos/brad-paisley/26260/im-gonna-miss-her.jhtml
Well I love her
But I love to fish
I spend all day out on this lake
And hell is all I catch
Today she met me at the door
Said I would have to choose
If I hit that fishin' hole today
She'd be packin' all her things
And she'd be gone by noon...

Yeah, I'm gonna miss her
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite  :dancinred:

Keep fishin  :fishing2:
and forget the  :queen2:
There's other fish in the lake!
