Lake Geneva Fishing Report for Thursday June 3rd:

It was that time of the year once more for Jeff Berg (Mister President Des Planes Lunker Busters) and fellow club member Harry to venture out on Geneva with me. The way I see it between the three of us we managed to combine two hundred and five years of fishing experience into the same boat on the same day. First of all let's get one thing straight. I was the youngest member of this team.

I do have a reputation for keeping the discussion going throughout the day, but Harry never ever runs short of topics and knows everyone in the fishing industry. I think that at times Harry forgot we were even fishing. I had to pay special attention to the trolling motor so that Harry's fishing line wouldn't foul the prop. Jeff had to untangle the line from Harry on his rod on occasions also.

We started off with two quick largemouth in Geneva Bay then ran to Maytag for some smallies. It seemed that every spot we hit throughout the day we caught game fish. However we never managed more than 2 bass per stop. So the answer was to keep moving and getting 2 here and 2 there. By days end we were able to establish some decent numbers of bass by using the hopscotch method. Old Harry somehow managed to catch his fare share between stories to.

All in all we had a great time together and I'll be fishing with Jeff again next week. Good luck on Lake Erie this weekend Jeff.

See ya on the water,

Lee
