I will be heading up to the lake place this weekend for the 4th of July.  I hope to catch some nice sunnies again but also target some walleyes on Lake Franklin.  I havent heard much of how they are doing on Franklin, I know the crappies have been biting on alot of the neighboring lakes.
I will be sure to report on how I do.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE GOING OUT FISHING THIS WEEKEND and BE SAFE!

Well, I forgot to tell you all how I did when I was up at the lake.
The wind was horrible - about 25-30mph ALL DAY, so it was tough to get the fishing in -- a little too much of a walleye chop.  Anyways, we did get out and do some drifting 1 evening and then the following morning.  My dad and I ended up keeping 6 sunnies we caught while trolling lindys and then a 14" walleye but we caught alot of other sunnies, only 1 walleye, a pike and then 3 bullheads  :puke:

The next morning we went out and didnt net any walleyes, only a few more pike and some sunnies.  The weather was so bad that I wasnt too surprised -- no one was catching anything.  I did end up, however, keeping a limit of sunnies for the frying pan and for the rest of the family - they are still in the freezer.

The last night we were there I was throwing a spinner off the dock for some bass when I swear I had a walleye follow it up to the dock, but I thought, no way, thats too weird.  However, about 15 seconds later I look over, and the neighbor, 2 docks over, who was also throwing spinners for bass, landed probably a 20"+ walleye.  WEIRDEST THING!   :fishing2:

Ill be up there in another few weeks -- hopefully the weather is a little better!
