i know all of us wish we had a shotgun for each bird species, one for duck one for goose and etc but what gun do you tend to favor more when bird hunting, i do have a gun for upland and a gun for waterfowl, but i just recently sold my upland gun in hopes of saving up a bit more to get a 20 gauge mossberg silver reserve(beautiful gun) but i use my stoeger M2000(like a SBE) for everything right now and i absolutly love it, it only handles up to 3 inch shells(the one difference between the 2) but i take alot of birds with it. my only compaint is that there factory chokes are garbage

whats everyoone else shoot?

I use a Browning Gold hunter 3-1/2 for all waterfowl and most of the time for Pheasants.A Traditions field hunter II for most of my upland hunts with the late season Pheasants being the exception. And I shoot an older Winchester Super-X 1 for trap, sporting clays and skeet.

All are 12 gage.

I have a few 20 gages for the kid to use but I like the Remington 1100 20 ga for a short grouse walk. It's the older standard size fram so it's a little heavey.

I have three Remingtons 870's.  One Wingmaster (bought about 37 years ago and isn't used much), one Sportsman (grade between Wingmaster and Express used for grouse), and one Express (used for duck/goose).

My duck gun is a Remington 870-  bought it 20+  years ago.  Flat black finish.  That thing has been through he!! and back.  The stock could use refinishing but I like it the way it is.  I think for the price it is a bargain. :fudd:

My grouse gun is a Browning bps pump 20 guage.  Even older than the  870.  I love it.

Altough I've been a benelli man for many years with only one issue, the cycling spring, when it goes its usually at the worst time and its no fun having a single shot in the heat of the action, all in all two springs in 12 years isn't bad, lord know's I'm rough on them 5 months outof a year, but thats why a guy needs to travel with backups when shooting semi auto's,besides you can't beat how fast the SBE2 is in the spring when you have a tornado of snows dropping in on ya,man you can run thru 10 shots so fast your out of ammo when the 1st bird hits the ground, also they're a breeze to clean,30 seconds the gun is broke down and she always fires and cycles in extreme cold unlike a few buddies that still shoot gas operated semi's,one exception is the beretta, only two gas ports plus inersha so best of both worlds and this system minimizes felt recoil for folks that are sensetive to recoil.

Today,if I were to buy a new shotgun, one that that can shoot target loads, upland birds and most of all waterfowl,my 1st choce would be the Extrema2.

But until my benelli dies, why fix whats not broke? On occassion for high flying snows I still take out the browning 10ga,very distinct advantage over my 12ga 3.5's on shots over 60yds in high wind.

Ah, like deadeye I shoot mostly 870's. I have a 12 ga. Wingmaster 2 3/4" I don't shoot much anymore unless there's a stray dog or cat causing trouble. Makes excellent jerky! Got that 31 years ago on the advice of my brother who told me I needed to buy guns before I got married. Have a synthetic stock 12 ga. Express that I attempt to shoot at waterfowl, when we have waterfowl to shoot at. I have a 20 ga. 3" Wingmaster that's a nice gun for wingshooting of any kind. And a .410 Wingmaster that's almost too pretty to shoot although it has bagged a few squirrels. Oh yeah, a side by side Savage/Stevens 20ga. that's my "hey there's a ________ in my yard" grab it quick, pop a couple shells in it gun.

I use the good ole Remington 870e 3 1/2" for duck and goose. Just a basic all around gun.

I am currently saving for a Remington Model SP-10 Magnum... Excellent waterfowl gun from the reviews. Just need about 2,000 bucks.

I only shoot an American made shotgun. Mossberg 835.That way I do not worry about a shell jam.
