2010 Deer Hunting Contest Rules and Sign Up

This will serve as the official sign-up thread for the 2010 MNO Deer Hunting Contest. Again it will be a team event. We had a lot of fun last year so lets do it again.....


Who will be the 2010 MNO Deer hunting champion? Will it be you!? Sign up and find out.

We will have two winners. We will crown a team and we will also crown an individual! You will operate as a team so even losers can feel what its like to be on a winning team  


Eligibility - You just need to be a member of MWO/MNO and plan to hunt deer this year.

Teams - Teams will be chosen at random.  Teams will consist of 3 members and will be drawn on October 9th.  Deer taken before that are eligible as long as they were taken legally and a proper picture is taken.  If there are enough late sign ups we will draw more teams on October 30th.

Photos - Proof of each deer killed will be a photo submitted with the hunter, their deer, and the weapon they used all in one photo.  This is a fun contest so let’s keep it fun by being honest.

Scoring - Each team of 3 can register up to 6 deer submitted by any team member.  You will receive 100 points for a doe or fawn.  Bucks are worth 50 if it has 7 points or less and they are worth 150 points if they are 8 scorable points or better. You also get an additional 10 points per scoreable point after 8.

If you are under 16 you have your own scoring system.

No matter what your deer is you get 150 points for doe, fawn and button buck and if it is a buck with scorable points you get 150 + 10 points per scorable point.

Please try to take a second picture of the antlers so the judges can see the number of points.

End - This contest will end on January 31st and pictures must be submitted by 11:59 PM of that day.  Have fun, be safe and we hope to see a lot of good pictures.

Bonus - 30 bonus points will be awarded if you have MNO or MWO in your picture.  It can be on paper or on your body, I just need to be able to read it.
