changing stock?
CAn I put a youth stock on a remington 870? Orr is there is there other differences in youth models?

i think there is a difference.  If you are looking for a youth shotgun, one htey will be able to grow with a little bit, try that mossberg youth shotgun, 20 gauge. it has the stock you can add 3 1 inch sections to as they grow. I have one of those for my kid and it shoots great.  they have them at fleetfarm best price.

not sure on the 870... but the gun is so common you could pick up a stock and just cut it.
