The last couple of winters my main fishing lake has frozen over just before a big snow.   The slush made the lake unfishable until very late in the season.  This winter I will be moving around the metro area.  I hope to shoot a couple of vids on metro ice fishing.   If anyone wants to be a movie star this is your chance.   I want to get some underwater video and above ice.   No  locations will be released other than it is a metro lake.  If you have an idea for a short vid or technique send me a pm.  I am getting older and right now I need a project to get me through the winter.   If you have an idea shoot it by me.  This could be a fun project.  I am going to try to do it by myself unless someone else wants to kick in.  (I like survivorman but the poor guy has to film himself).  I would rather film you.

Ive had some videos shot of me in the past, but those are the ones you have to pay to see  :reporter;      :doah:

-- I have no ideas for you, but I have been down in the Winona area for the last 5 years, but now that im back up in the cities, I would like to do some fishing in the metro.  So I may able to work with you in your Emmy winning movies (no promises, I will be pretty busy with work, but I will put my name out there)  I dont want you to have to work more hours pulling teeth.
Not sure of many metro lakes that are that good, but then again, I have never fished around here.  I would like to do some crappie fishing, that can be pretty neat on camera.

Mt- glad you are back in the metro.  Crappie fishing in the winter usually does not film that well.  The times I have tried it the water is so murky you can't see a thing.  If you turn the camera light on all you get is reflection off the plankton.  I will be checking in with you as the temps drop. :happy1:

I will be ordering a camera pretty soon.  I have an aqua view with a digital recorder for the underwater shots but I need a new camcorder.   I have been looking at these for a long time and still don't have a clue.  I do know that I will go high def. but I don't know if the  bigger internal memory is woth the increase in price .  I know cold has effects on electronics.  I plan on shooting vids to edit and post here but I don't know about formats and posting.  I do know that I made a cd of our Canada trip sent it to a few people and it turns out it will play on my dvd player and computer but nobody elses dvd player can read the disk.   I know this is not the right forum for this but I would like to keep it here because using the camera for ice fishishg is the only reason I will be getting it.   I plan on ordering a cam next week so any input would be appreciated.

Tyler- that camera is awesome.  It would be perfect for what I would like to do.  If the deal I am looking into falls through I would definately be interested.   One Question.  Have you ever tried that cam in sub zero temps?
