There are a lot of different types of hunters that are part of this site.  This Saturday is the opening day for whitetail deer firearm season.  What results are you hoping for?  Do you want a trophy buck, or nice eating doe, or are hoping that something just walks by the stand?

Please share your hopes or dreams.

I am hoping for my 13 year old to get his first deer.  My wife has been kicking my but the last few years as far as numbers and quality but I guess I have shot my share of deer in my 19 years of deer hunting.  A trophy would be nice but seeing my son over his first kill would be priceless.

for my son to also shoot his first(also 13) and to get some meat in the freezer.  Trophy hunting will come later in the week.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

I'm looking for meat for the freezer.  If I see a trophy walk by all the better.

this year I don't hunt alone I'll have plenty of help. So I would like to see 8 does get hung to help manage the land. I'll get the big guy in a few years. ;D
Are you a hunter or do you just kill things? Respect the wildlife!

I'm hoping for a decent buck this weekend.  I was hoping to get a doe permit but I found out too late that my area went to the lottery system this year so I missed out on the chance to get a doe.  Just getting out there and enjoying the outdoors is always nice. ;D
