A new bow hunter takes to the woods.

We brought my sons nephew on his first bow hunt.  He hunted Friday morning (saw one), Friday night (saw 4) and this morning (saw a couple).  I watched him shoot on Thursday evening and could see he wouldn't have a problem at 20 yards but I didn't want him shooting beyound that.  I gave him my range finder and told him to check the trees around him that are at 20 yards and then only shoot at a deer within that area.  The closest deer came to him was around 40 yards but he still had a great time.

I looked at new bows on teusday on our way up north with dad.  I picked one out and will be getting it for christmas.
Next year I will be able to bow hunt also.

I always love to hear of new people, kids or adults that try and fall in love with bow hunting.
doesn't even have to be hunting. archery at targets can be a very personaly rewarding activity.
a great challenge between body and mind.
