Fireranger   .. that sucks that wisconsin charges canadians 2x's the normal rate.. and all because they hate being called a "hoser" when they fill out your tag. and they think moosehead beer is a by product of moosehead.  I'm just kidding.. I love canada.. it's the greatest national park the U.S ever created.

no, I'm really just kidding.. anyone that can shoot an 870 like you do, I don't want you taking aim at me. after all  I do like molsen ice and labatt's blue.. so canada has that going for it.

After a long 3 full days in the woods, I come home empty handed.  First time in about 4 years and second time in over 15.

Missed a 4 or 6 point buck Saturday morning at 720.  Nice west wind blowing my scent away from the ridge they cross on.  Snow was coming down, light and flaky, and not really sticking to anything.  I placed a glove over the end of my scope to keep the snow off and that was the end of this deer.  He steps out and I freeze him in the middle of the trail broadside. (A chip shot I have been taking in the last 15 years.)  I put the scope up and blackness; I never took the glove off.  He takes another step and puts his head in front of grass.  In our area, Unit 28, is bucks only this year.  It takes me a second to determine that he is a good buck and I put the scope back on him.  I squeeze the trigger and he jumps..... and the tree in front of him falls over.....  :censored:   :censored:    :censored:    :censored:    :censored:

It was worth every second and I cannot wait to get back over next year.

Ha ha ha....nothing I haven't heard of before. Don't worry, the cost for you guys to partake in hunting and fishing my homeland pays my pension!! Thanks!!  ;D

Already on Santa's list.  I cannot stand spending $160 on a non-resident tag, yet as a former resident, shouldn't I get a discount or something?   Hell, we let FireRanger migrate.

I always thought that as an incentive WI should allow out of state tags that go unfilled be "renewed" the following year for half price. then your not filling your tag the last weekend on a spiker just so feel you didn't "waste" your money.

dang canadians taking our jobs and such. :rotflmao:

Hey Red...zip it...I'm in the same boat as all of you know. I gotta pay full price for all the tags you guys do. I guess when I take you moose hunting up north I'll have to charge you a guide fee of my own! :woot:
