After a day or two off for everyone here at the resort, we are ready to go full speed ahead into the New Year. It looks like we have a pretty busy week ahead of us chasing Walleye. Before Christmas, our houses were on the move. We have a lot of area covered now. With everything spread out, there is not much pressure on these fish either. Our houses are set up from as shallow as 24’ for our sleepers and out to as deep as 31-32’ for some of our day houses. The fish are spread out, and any depth or house can be the best on any given day right now. There is not a real consistent pattern going yet. With a busy week here of guests staying and fishing, hopefully a better pattern will develop. We are starting to see suspended Walleye now too. Some of the fish have been caught as high as 20’ off the bottom! Getting on those fish is always a fun bonus. When you mark them on your flasher, get your bait in front of them as quick as possible. If you can attract their attention before they swim by, those suspended fish will almost always bite.

Our private plowed ice road is now open to our guests that would prefer to drive out to our fish houses. All of our fish houses can currently be accessed by the road.

The weatherman is calling for a nice week with temperatures in the 20s all week. A cool down into the single digits is expected for the upcoming weekend and a chance of some snow. The lake has anywhere from an inch to 10 inches of snow on it, with some deeper drifts around the fish houses and roads. The ice is in great shape with 16-20+ inches being found in the areas we are fishing and driving.

If you are looking for New Years plans, we do still have a couple cabin openings
