Don't get to fired up guyz, take a look at the snow pack map,the nations mid section got another 12"dump this week, even OK got dumped on,unless we get a major hot air blast we're weeks or longer away from any migration and this year we might see the major push further west because of less snow pack, right now I'm thinking from central KA/NEB west and as the snow melts the saame with SoDak,they might follow the missouri north this season.

Can't imagine what the fields will be like this spring either, lots of mud and sheet water, more than usual that can cause problems with dirt road/closures,nothing ticks local farmers off more than hunters tearing up their roads in the spring.

We have hunted local farms in the NW metro and no longer have access to the land as other hunters, who were given permission, tore up the farmers fields and such.  Very frustrating to say the least.

Snow-

Do you guide/run groups out west for snows?  I cannot remember if you have done this from previous posts.  Might be something I'd like to try if I can get away from the job and family.

Red,

No longer,to much work for this older body but I have the connections still, might even be the best outfit goin these days and not a full blown commerical outfit, and if your like me I don't hunt nor like to hunt in large groups,if your interested PM me to get things setup,my guyz will be heading to either MO soon or maybe KA if the snow does'nt melt within a couple weeks, they'll need several days of really warm weather and alot of wind to melt the snow~

If ya don't want to travel that far (even tho its the best spring hunting) wait until they travel to SoDak which is usually the 1st two weeks in april,BUT this may not be a usual spring with all the snow,I think they hunted SoDak last year for 4 weeks.

A SD run would probably work best.  I'll keep that in mind as the weeks start to pass and the snow begins to melt.

The snow map is starting to look like a road map again! The snow is melting fast and the birds will start pushing up soon. I know we will get more snow and it will push them back again, but it is exciting to see the progression of spring happening. I think it will be a fast spring, but it is EZ to feel that way with the weather we are having right now. I am going to start a few more posts to keep the conversations organized. To say I am excited is an understatement!
