  • The brothers with my 2006 buck.
This year will be our groups first year of decoy only hunting and we are pumped. In the past we pass shot and jump shot. This year we are going to do it from the blind. The plan was to go with my brother inlaw who as a killer spread, but plans have changed and he is not going to be able to make it. I am putting together a spread and have had some generous offers to borrow decoys. As of now we have 3 doz full bodies and 9 doz shells. I also have access to arround 400 texas rags. Not sure what I want to do with the rags. I have hunted them before and they were a pain. What would you guys do? would you use all the rags, some of them or just run the other decoys? I am also making a 2 speaker ecaller and am looking for ways to add motin without breaking the bank. Any suggestions on that, the e-caller or the rags would be greatly appreciated!

When we went a couple of years ago the guide had about 800 of those silo decoys in one field and about 1100 in the other field. $500.00 a gun for 3 days. Only shot about 18 geese. Rained the last day or should I say poured.

Here is what our rig usually looks like after a morning Canada Goose hunt.
