Ely ice condition update as of February 20th

The ice has really firmed up after the warm temp/cold spell cycle we just had.   You should be able to go about anywhere with an ATV or snowmobile on both Snowbank an Burntside Lakes.  Several people were driving full size pickups on Burntside Lake on Saturday, which I would still be leery of doing for another week.
Go slowly as the frozen slush has made the lake surface a bit rough.
