Go fish with members of 'Deadliest Catch' at Fox Cities PAC in Appleton

Press-Gazette • March 17, 2011

It’s as close to the rush of crab fishing on the high seas as you can get — without the high seas.

Captain Sig and the Hillstrand Brothers from the Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch’’ will swap stories about some of the roughest and most dangerous situations they’ve weathered out on the water during an appearance at 7 p.m. May 15 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton.

Audience members will see new video footage and have a chance to ask questions of captains Sig, Johnathan and Andy.

Tickets for The Captains’ Tour start at $29.75 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster at (800) 982-2787 and the PAC box office at (920) 730-3760 and www.foxcitiespac.com. VIP tickets that include a preshow meet and greet are $75.

The seventh season of “Deadliest Catch’’ debuts April 12.

Somewhat related; local girl was working for the Alaska State Fishery as on observer for the Snow Crab season on the Kodiak.  Check out her blog.  It comes up with the most recent post but go back to the older ones too.  Kind of a fun read.

I think another one of our members daughter was doing the same thing or it might be the same person we're thinking of.
