Sad news today.... got the Walker Pilot paper...Don Canney the maker of Leech Lake Knives  died last week.  Hope you all have a Leech Lake Knife!   Nothing better to fillet a bucket of  big perch with.  To the great knife maker Don  :toast:

wow wasnt that long ago i heard his wife passed so he quit making the knives. i have 4 of them, hope we can figure out someplace to sheprn them when its needed.

He still made a few last year....Reed's doesnt have any left, but Scheel's do have a few..The minot store and one in Iowa had a few left... I just bought 3 more to save to give to my Grandkids when they are old enough....   I sharpen my old one with a steel which works fine on both the top and bottom blades.
