Ice fishermen are still driving out with four wheelers.  Mixed reports are coming in.  Some fishermen are doing well and others are struggling to find a consistent bite.  Mornings and evenings seem to be the best, with the mid day bite remaining slow.  Most fish seem to be coming from the 18 to 26 foot range.  The ice is still solid on the lake side but is starting to get soft on top.  Rain and snow today are creating slushy conditions in spots.

The river has moved past the Vidas landing near Clementson.  Walleye are being caught, but it sounds like the bite is a little slower than normal.  The river is clean and there is not much current.  We’ll have to see what the weather brings in the next few days.

I have yet to hear a Sturgeon report.  We should know more next week as the river opens closer to the mouth.
