Yes, I have stayed outside of Souix Lookout and have a great time.  There is plenty of resorts around that area.

Camped on Laq Suel a few times... Havent stayed at a resort on it, but the fishing is Good!  Its a big arse lake, with big arse fish!...got lost a few times...it was before I had a gps!  Ya need a month to figure out 1/100th of the lake so a guide may be in order, unless ya know someone who's been there.     -thunderpout :happy1:

We go once a year right near there and camp in the "Bush". Ontario requires you to buy a daily permit to camp so don't get caught without one. Big honkin Walleyes up there last year our group of eight pulled up 14 between 28" and 32".

My brother has gone there the last 4 years and they ALWAYS catch a ton of walleyes and big pike.  You can only bring 2 across the order if I recall correctly.  Personally I would find a good U.S. resort and stay there.  Between border crossing issues, gas prices, exchange rate, etc, I would rather find a good lake and resort here.  Just my 2 cents.

I also will be hitting Laq Suel in Mid August.  Any of you been there this year or have any info that might help.  We do have a guide so We shouldn't get lost.  I have not gotten any input with what to bring so I am open to suggestions.
