Just trying this topic to create a little participation in something other than the fish challenge. Please post something that you wish was still around, be it an obsolete product,a slogan, a person,a moral, music,an establishment, etc.
Please list only one thing per post.
To start this off I really miss the wing window on autos. It was a great feature to let in a little air or direct it to blow a bee off the windshield. It also dried off the front of your pants in a dang hurry if you spilled on your crotch. Why would they get rid rid of such a great tool?

I miss the serenity that came with the small town gas stations closed on sundays.

I miss paying $2.00 to rent an old leaky wooden boat when we would go fishing.  We would bring worms we dug in the garden, a couple cane poles and have a great time.

I miss my black lab Lady... We were both young and we could both hunt all day. At the end of the day we would pull into McDonalds and I would buy a couple of cheeseburgers. She would get the top of the buns and I would put the rest together to make a double cheeseburger for me. Don't tell the wife, but Lady was always "My best Girl"

Telling my son's what they need to know.  Now they tell me and I don't understand.

When I would bike around all day with my buddies, scrounging up change for some pop and candy at the gas station, deciding what games we were going to play next, or what park to go to, or which girls we thought were cute (even though we had no chance)!  :happy1:

There are a lot of great "Things I miss" reminders on here. Great list.

I really miss by son Collin who lives in Colorado now. It was like having your best friend living with you and your wife.

I miss being able to turn the brights on or off by stepping on the floor button with your foot and not fumbling around the steering column signaling a turn or turning on the wipers or cruise control.
I enjoy seeing all the things you guys put up that are now bygones. And special thanks to Bonehead for now I am craving a stick of that Bubs daddy that was forgotten about.

I miss my Dad, Grandma, my enduro motorcycle and the quiet solitude of the farm we moved from 4.5 years ago.
