    • Fishing & Hunting South Dakota's Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe
Season is in full swing now with all the resorts open for business. Lower Oahe just getting over a real nice smelt run and I think one of the best we have had recently at least around the Cow/Spring /Okabojo creek areas. Getting your 5 gallons of smelt was not hard for those who were out at night netting. Fishing on lower Oahe slow with not many boats out. Pitching Jigs/minnows/ gulp producing big fish if you want to put in the time on Oahe and cat fishing excellent. Salmon spotty. Lake Sharpe producing good numbers walleye/smallmouth and a real nice avg. size both in the Pierre area and at West Bend area. Most of the walleye coming in10 feet or less with jig minnow/ bouncer minnow/or pulling shallow plugs still first choice but crawlers working at the bend.I will be on the water just about every day now so will have a new report every three days
