The big girls are hungry.  The larger females have awoken from their post-spawn slumber and are starting to feed aggressively.  Lots of big fish were caught this week and most fishermen, who put in the time, brought in their limits.

Jigs tipped with emerald shiners in 26 to 31 feet have produced big walleyes.  Pink, gold, and orange have been good colors.  Anglers are still having success pulling or drifting with spinners in the shallow waters near shore.  Again, minnows are working well and some are having success with leeches and crawlers.

Our charter boats have been doing very well, and guests are having a great time.  Our captains are friendly and knowledgeable and would love to put you on some big walleyes.  We still have room for your group in the upcoming weeks, so book now!

It looks like some windy, stormy weather coming early in the week.  Towards the weekend though, it looks like the weather should straighten out.  We’re due for a good weekend of weather.

FISH ON!
