As we continue into summer the bite remains strong!  The water temp is at 64 degrees and we are still anchoring and jigging most days.  Most days are providing a good steady bite throughout the day but we have had a couple days that made you work for them.  Although there were still plenty to eat fresh and take limits home on those days.

We have been spending our time fishing the south end of the Big Traverse.  The majority of the time we have been fishing from outside the Lighthouse Gap along the shore towards Zippel Bay.  Depths have been ranging from 20-28 feet of water.  Each day brings on a different bait of preference and color favorite.  One day leeches, the next frozen shiners, and the next crawlers.

The forecast is about typical for this time of year, highs in the 70’s and cooling down in the 50’s overnight.  Rain is possible again this week, but isn’t that why we live in Minnesota, rain gear in the morning and sunscreen and shorts in the afternoon!

FISH ON!
