Fished brother's Gary and Dale Loseke from Monroe Ne. to possession limits of walleye and some Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and a lot of Catfish as they had there possession limits of walleye first two days. Cat fishing is so good they were getting bit as soon as the bait hit the water. We caught a lot of walleye (probably 50 plus a day) and kept a 12 fish a day limit that would avg. 19 inches by being selective and carefully releasing the little guys. Caught almost all of these fish in 7 to 9 feet of water on bouncer/night crawler rigs. A couple of really great guys and both are experienced fishermen so I just had a great time. Bite is on all up and down the lake and lake is full of water and fish. All boat ramps open and all roads into Pierre open. Salmon fishing tough. I expect to see a lot of boats around this year over the 4th so you can expect busy boat ramps. Once again watch your depth finder as a lot of places have shallow water a ways into lake due to record levels.
