I am shooting a 20yr old Browing, That I love, But have decided to get a new one...I looked at the BowTech and the Hoyt lineups

Any thoughts on what you guys / gals shoot? I would rather hear it from you than a salesman.

I shot 3 different Hoyts in my bow hunting career which came to an end this year.  However my friend was set on taking home a new Bowtech this year and came home with a Matthews Z7extreme (I believe this was the model).  He said he shot all of the new bows in his price range and that is the one he liked the best.

Eastwood v. Wayne Challenge Winner 2011

The Boogie Man may check his closet for John Wayne but John Wayne checks under his bed for Clint Eastwood

I am not a Matthews fan because of the status.........I like Hoyt and after researching the Bowtech it seems....on paper to be the best...am still questioning which I should lean towards. Today I am going to an archery shop (I won't mention in case they do not give good service) and I want to see how the brands feel in MY hands. Hopefully I come back with a bow I love!

I am still planning on using my Browning Hypercam one last year. Thanks for the imput and if you have any I am still interested in hearing it...........It doesn't mean that I am buying one today.

:happy1: i myself went with the assassin and i love it fast smooth quite and the $$$ is affordable it does have a strong draw on it so if you have back problems it might be tough to pull but i say go shoot one and see what you think good luck

The biggest thing is to try a bunch in your price range regardless of brand. I just bought a new bow about a month ago. Tried PSE, Mission, Hoyt, Mathews, G5, Bowtech, and Bear. Ended up with a new Bear Carnage. Runner up was a Bowtech Invasion. Both sweet bows. I shoot on a league with a bunch of guys that swear by Mathews. I just can't seem to like them. Don't like the grip and to me they have a fair amount of hand vibration. So go shoot a bunch and make your decision!

I got to shoot them all. The Matthews felt too top heavy I did not like the Z7. The Bowtech was the runner up. I went with the Hoyt Carbon Element. It is very light and balanced. The guys at Full Draw Archery in Harris took good care of me. Now if the deer will....It will be a good season.
