Is it worth it?  I had 2 reels crap out on me this summer.  Same thing for both.  The drags blew out.  Get new ones or fix them.  I know the technology is improved but I really like these reels.  These older reels must have some kind of friction drags on them.  What say the experts?

Heck yes it's worth it. I believe there is a guy in Anoka who fixes a lot of reels. I want to say Anglers Paradise, and the Trail's End Bass Pro in Fridley are places you can drop them off.
