I've done a fair amount of research on different gun dog breeds and i keep gravitating towards the griff.  The only problem is, i don't think I've seen one in person.

Does anyone have one?  How do you like it? Where'd you get it?  Are there any local breeders (Metro Area or somewhat close)?

Thanks!

Sorry, but I do not.  I am curious as to what makes you gravitate towards the griff?

A friend of mine has two and they are tremendous dogs. Beautiful dogs with a different look. He uses them for both duck and upland game. I can find out where he was able to pick them up if you like.

If you could, that'd be awesome!

The wife has a few stipulations for me if we're going to get a dog.  One of them is that she doesn't want a dog that sheds.  Everything I've read says that the griffs really don't.  I like that it's not a huge dog (around 50-60 lbs), they seem like they're an all around hunting dog, they love water, their coat seems like it's well suited for MN winters, they're good family dogs and I like the unique look.

besides that, not much....  :dancinred:
