Fished Carl's today.  Started around 2 p.m. fishing for sunnies.  Dropped a couple tip-ups with my brother rigged with a custom spoon single hook.  Landed a nice 37'' fat mama pike.  Sunnies were rather slow.  Caught a few nice keepers.  looked for crappies around dusk with no luck.  Ice is 7'' in the middle of the lake.  I've noticed the quality of the sunnies has improved over the last couple years.  yeah you still get s few little ones but most were pushing 8''.  Not bad for a "metro lake".
