anyone know where any crappies or walleyes are biting in the willmar area? not looking for your hot spots, just a shove in the right direction. you can PM me the info if you dont wanna make the area to public. thanks

we went to swenson. caught a few crappies but thats it. also just stayed on foot lake inside willmar and only caught 2 small walleyes

I was going to give Swenson a try.  I heard they were catching pail fulls of crappies in the 8 inch range.  A friend of mine said he talked to someone and the game warden said they were going to open the lake to crappie fishing.  Saying their are so many in there they can't get any bigger.

ours were in the 9-11 inch range for the whopping 3 we caught. but friday they were sluggish, i think the cold front turned them off. we also heard the same thing that the crappies were biting like crazy. also caught a few small perch and a bullhead
