I like the Spider-wire/Fire-line especialy for pike. The abrassion/cut resistance is what I like the best. You also get a much stronger test line for the diameter compared to the mono lines.

For the clear lakes up north I really like the cajan red in 8 pound test.
Fireline in the metro.

I spool up with 10-50# Power Pro on all the rods, I like not having to change out line every season.

Depends on the situation.  In general, I use Suffix for a braided line.  Especially for weeds or in murky water.  If the water is clear and the fish are finicky, I'll use Berkley Trilene or Vanish fluorocarbon.

I stick to the basics due to customer skill levels and cost, Trilene XL Clear on most reels, or Trilene XT Green on the bass/pike sticks due to abrasion resistance.

I am a fan of original spider wire on all my reels from light action to musky rigs.  I add a mono leader when needed.  Love Trilene XL for all mono needs.
