   Thanks Lee.  I went with light wire on the prototype.  If I get hit there will be a good chance it will turn into a slinky.  I want to test it out before I go for the heavier wire.  There are 5 and 3 wire versions available on the market making them legal for different states.  Most of the ones available have a very light resin head so the swimbaits are really what adds the weight to the rig.  In my case I will be long lining this so I wanted a heavy head.  Depending on the running depth I may go to 6 oz.  The reason I share this with you is so you can start losing sleep.  My team (to be announced) has found a new key to unlock the abyss for those deep water, pelagic, nomadic, giant walleyes.  So put on the  ladies and gents.  You will be fighting for 2nd place.

   100% Minnesota legal.  Not one snap either.  Everything is twist on.  I can't wait to run it through a school of ciscos over 80 ft of water.  Just for perspective that is 4 oz. of lead and the first line of swim baits are 4 inches.  The last is 6 inches.  A rap could just as easily be used for the target lure.  I have high hopes for this one.  They have ciscos up there on Burntside so I thought I would toss this out there so GO can start his excuses now. 

There ain't no Ciscos in Burntside, the Smelt et them all!!
Man, I gotta school you on a daily basis.
It won't be much longer, and Tooth Fairy will again be looking at the tail lights on whatever team GO is on!

Borgie's Raiders will be happy fighting for second place. Once we reach second it leaves us one more rung on the ladder away from the top. All I hope for is one active teammate to help keep us on the top of the leaderboard.

Me and Lee still have more Challenge wins under our belt then you do Wild. I can't even start to count the reasons I would rather fish with him then you. Maybe the luck of the draw will put the General and Wild together, maybe add DDS to the mix, now that would be a train wreck to watch!

    The General, Wild, and myself would happily fish with anyone we get paired with. The fishing challenge is one thing.  The smack down is another. I can't wait for the teams to get drawn.   The smack down is a test of wits.  Not sensitivity.  That belongs in the flower pot thread.  ( )    I can't find the link.

    Wildlife beat two of my personal bests in one year.  The third was a tie.  He did it in one summer.  I think he is going to bring this up a time or two this year.  It takes 3 trophies to win this challenge.  I feel fortunate that I picked a good year to have no luck for size.  I do know that I tried right up to the last minute.  I would never have gone out a few of the times I did if it were not for this challenge.  I did not get it done last year.  Guess what?  Time to do-er again.

      That said,  good luck everyone.  I hope to have a little more time to fish this summer.  I will get a chance to fish with both the General and Wildlife and they will be the highlights of the summer.   If and when my team wins we will graciously rub your(any and everyone that is not on my team) nose in it on this thread.  If anyone takes the smack down personally well then--

Rumor has it that one of the local tribe members had stopped at his dentist the other day. The way I heard tell he received a hot tip on a secret lake. The dentist not realizing his patient was an Indian he just happened to mention the secret lake location.
 
 Well, obviously you may have just figured out where this secret private lake is. To make a long story short the guess who group is heading that way as we speak. They won't need any bait or lures since they have plenty of nets and spears.
 
If you play your cards right they may let you clean some of the fish from your secret lake with them Willy.  DDS because now Willy will be hunting for your scalp.
